Glossy lips and lashes for autumn

MAKE-UP for the coming season is both bold and flawless. Stephanie Smith takes a look at what’s new on counter.

MAC’S new pro Longwear Lip Pencil (£14) lasts for up to 15 hours – long enough to drive from Paris to Monte Carlo and still have time for a glamorous dinner while looking picture perfect. Try More To Love, an intense blue-ish pink.

Also within MAC’s Styledriver Pro Longwear collection comes Lip Creme (£15.50), with shades including the gorgeously titled Soulfully Rich, a deep, dirty purple with red pearl, and Dress It Up – a light blue pink.

There’s Eye Shadow, a stay-put cream (try Carefree, a pale white gold, £15.50) and of course Lipglass (£16), so try Full Speed Ahead (a bright magenta pink). At Harvey Nichols Leeds and on www.maccosmetics.co.uk.

PHYTO-MASCARA Ultra Stretch from Sisley defines, curls and strengthens lashes and is available in three great colours (deep black, deep blue and deep brown).

It has a volume-enhancing stretch formula with which the mascara evenly coats each lash from root to tip, thanks to wheat proteins and carnauba waxes. With one application the lashes are noticeably lengthened and glossed.

It costs £37 at House of Fraser, John Lewis and Space NK.

LIZ Earle has stepped into the make-up forum with a Sheer Skin Tint, a foundation with added skincare benefits.

It’s actually quite rich and creamy, unlike many other skin tints on the market, and gives a decent coverage, while also bringing the trademark “naturally great skin” look for which Liz Earle is famed.

It has SPF15 and is enriched with natural source vitamin E, avocado and borage.

There are three shades, bare, beige and beach, and samples of all three shades will be provided when customers order online. It goes online and in store at the Victoria Quarter in Leeds tomorrow and will cost £21 for a 40ml tube, at www.lizearle.com.

KORRES Blush Zea Mays is a gorgeously rich yet dewy and natural looking blush that gives a very on-trend velvety colour flush for a luminous effect. It contains corn starch powder particles for a smooth and even finish and has a soft and creamy texture for an easy and uniform application. Plus there’s a wide colour choice ranging from natural to more bright and intense shades, so something to suit all skin tones and types.

It costs £17.50, on counter now at House of Fraser.
