Jeff Banks to put on fashion show and hand out expert style advice

JEFF Banks will be heading to York next month to pass on his fashion, design and shopping tips.

One of Britain’s leading designers, Banks will be taking over McArthurGlen’s York Designer Outlet from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, October 15.

In celebration, the centre will host a catwalk event with models showcasing the latest of Jeff Banks’s collections available at the outlet this season. Shoppers will also be able to drop into the Jeff Banks outlet store to meet the designer and get expert style advice.

“Tailored clothing makes a huge difference to how fashion looks and feels when it is worn – and with affordable prices, it means men do not have to spend a fortune to achieve a designer look.

“This season slim cuts are in; a trim waist and slick cut is essential for effortless style. For the colder months, wools in deeper colours are a good choice, for example, a dark grey woollen suit teamed with an autumnal deep red or bottle green tie.

Meanwhile, today passengers at Leeds Bradford Airport will be treated to the sight of cabin crew from three airlines joining models on a runway in the terminal as plans for the Leeds Loves Shopping festival, are unveiled. Jet2.com, Ryanair and BMI Regional will be taking to the runway with a display of their vintage cabin crew wear, as well as unveiling new fashion creations that represent their brands.

Up-and-coming fashion designer Mandy Hudson, 24, from Wortley, Leeds, and a graduate of Leeds College of Art, created the pieces to reflect the spirit of the airlines and the concept of flying.

And tomorrow, there will be a pamper evening at the Corn Exchange, starting at 7pm, with beauty demonstrations from Clarins at Debenhams, plus wine, canapes and a goodie bag, plus a raffle.
