Tom discovers the vintage look is a suitable case for treatment online

MEN love vintage, too, as clever young North Yorkshire entrepreneur Tom Walker is proving with his new retro clothing website.

Tom, 20, was a pupil at King James’s School, in Knaresborough, when he starting promoting brands online and selling merchandise at gigs.

Realising that vintage clothing was his real passion, he decided to launch the website, Headlock Vintage Suits, offering the best in vintage apparel from the ’60s and ’70s, including suits from Hepworths.

Appealing to young men with a penchant for original clothing, prices range from £60 to £120, making it affordable fashion for proms, nights out, casual wear and alternative stylish workwear for those who want to channel their inner Don Draper.

Tom saw a huge demand for vintage for men, but knew it often meant rummaging in charity shops to find quality, original pieces. So he started selling vintage clothing through eBay and at fashion fairs, before taking the plunge and launching Headlock Vintage Suits with a new bespoke website.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of vintage style, as have my friends, so it seemed like a natural progression to turn my passion into a career,” he said.

“I want to offer people stylish clothing but at affordable prices.”
