Camp Bestival 2021: dates, who is on the lineup – and how to get tickets to the Lulworth Castle festival

Following the Government's roadmap announcement, a number of events have confirmed that plans are in place to host events in 2021

The Government hopes to lift all remaining restrictions on social contact in England by June 21 at the earliest, which would mean larger events – like music festivals – can once again go ahead.

The UK festival circuit has been hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic with its 2020 season effectively wiped out, and live music fans will be itching to get back out to the fields when it is finally safe to do so.

In January Glastonbury was cancelled for a second successive year after organisers said they had tried to “move heaven and earth”, but following the Government's announcement, a number of big name events have confirmed that plans are in place to host events in 2021.

But it’s not just Reading & Leeds that are planning to go ahead, Camp Bestival has also confirmed it is returning to Lulworth Castle on Dorset's Jurassic Coast from Thursday 29 July to Sunday 1 August 2021.

Here is everything you need to know about it.

If all goes to plan, and the Government's roadmap out of lockdown goes off without any major hitches, Camp Bestival will take place in 2021 from Thursday 29 July to Sunday 1 August.

Who is on the line-up?

Names included on the line-up in 2021 include DJ Fatboy Slim, electronic music duo Groove Armada and singer and songwriter Becky Hill.

American R&B act Kelis, singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, indie rock band Friendly Fires, and jazz-funk band Level 42 are also on the bill.

Describing 2021’s festival as “the Staycation of the century”, organisers have also revealed new additions to the event, including a new comedy venue, an entirely new area designed with teenagers specifically in mind and a brand new dance tent.

How much are tickets?

Tickets for the weekend event cost £185 for adults (those aged 18 and over), £180 for students and £127.50 for 13 to 17-year olds.

Kids aged 10 to 12-years old can get a weekend ticket for £102.50, while it is £82.50 for those ages five to nine-years old, and £62.50 for those four and under.

Babes in arms (classed as one-year old or under) go free, though they will still need a ticket, which can be ordered at the same time as when you buy your other tickets, or can be added on free of charge to an existing ticket order if needed by contacting Ticketmaster or your point of purchase.

All tickets are subject to booking and handling fees, and include four nights’ access to the festival’s general campsites from Thursday to Monday.

Where can I get tickets?

Tickets can be purchased from Camp Bestival’s official ticket agents, Ticketmaster.

Though Boris Johnson’s “cautious and irreversible” roadmap has filled many music fans with confidence, the unpredictable nature of the pandemic thus far means nothing is 100 per certain.

If the festival is cancelled for another year, Camp Bestival recommend you see Ticketmaster's Ticket Purchase Policy here for details on refunds and cancellations.
