Three Yorkshire tourism businesses named as finalists in VisitEngland awards

Tourism settings in Yorkshire are among those to make the final shortlist for awards to recognise the best in the country.

Three of the region's tourism settings, self catering cottages and hotels have been named finalists in the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

Championing the very best of the country's tourism industry, these awards aim to celebrate quality, innovation and best practice, on the back of regional recognition.

Hotham's Gin School and Distillery in Hull is among three finalists for best New Tourism Business.

When it comes to self catering accommodation, Broadgate Farm Cottages in Beverley in East Yorkshire makes the final shortlist alongside cottages in Devon and Hampshire.

And for Small Hotel of the Year, Grays Court in North Yorkshire has made the shortlist, with Cary Arms & Spa Devon and Seaham Hall in Durham.

There are 53 finalists nationwide in this year's awards, with winners to be announced at a virtual ceremony on August 17.

Vine + Country Tours, East Sussex

Self Catering Accommodation of the Year:

Broadgate Farm Cottages, East Yorkshire;

North Hayne Farm Cottages, Devon;

Wallops Wood Cottages, Hampshire

Small Hotel of the Year:

Cary Arms & Spa, Devon;

Grays Court, North Yorkshire;

Seaham Hall County, Durham
