Military honours at Captain Sir Tom Moore’s funeral is fitting tribute – The Yorkshire Post says
A day of sadness for the Keighley-born centenarian’s family, they can also be comforted by the incredible tributes to Captain Tom and also how the Yorkshire Regiment intend to honour the war hero at his funeral. He was the one beacon of hope that shone brightest of all in the darkest of times.
But, as his own journey ends, another begins as the Moore family, and all those inspired by Captain Tom’s stoicism, strive to achieve the ‘better tomorrow’ that he envisaged in his own unique way. These plans already include the planting of trees as part of a wider ‘legacy forest’ to honour a special man whose love of the outdoors was matched by his appreciation for the NHS.
