100,000 volunteerfor London 2012

More than 100,000 people have volunteered for the London 2012 Games, says Lord Coe.

With just a week to go before applications close at midnight on October 27, the London 2012 chairman said: “We have had an amazing response to date, with over 100,000 people offering to lend their time in the summer of 2012.” It is said to be the biggest recruitment exercise since the Second World War and the organisers still want more disabled and deaf applicants.
