11 held in crackdown on drug suppliers

TEN men and one woman have been arrested across Yorkshire and Manchester in a crackdown on a drug supply network which police have been investigating for 10 months.

Officers from South and West Yorkshire and Manchester raided 20 addresses yesterday in Bradford, Leeds, Rotherham, Doncaster, Rochdale and Oldham.

During the searches, officers recovered a Taser stun gun in Bradford and more than 10,000 cash along with a large number of mobile phones.

The 10 men and one woman have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Those arrested in Bradford are men aged 35, 28, 41 and 24 along with a woman, 26. A 29-year-old man from Wetherby was also arrested.

In South Yorkshire, two Doncaster men aged 41 and 72 and a man from Rotherham aged 30 were arrested.

In Greater Manchester, a 38-year-old man from Rochdale and a 29-year-old man from Oldham were also arrested.
