'200 jobs lost' as seaside theme park closes
The GMB union said the Pleasure Island complex would be sadly missed by families this summer if it was not saved.
Staff have been given letters telling them their employment has been terminated and visitors have been turned away.

Hide AdRachelle Wilkins, an official with the GMB union, said: "This theme park will be sadly missed by children and their parents from across Yorkshire and the East Midlands if it is not reopened.
"The shock closure means that it is yet another victim of this bankers' recession. If the closure is not reversed it will have a wide impact on the local economy."
