TWENTY-FIVE men will appear in court next week after being charged with offences including child sex abuse, trafficking and rape.
They were charged today by West Yorkshire Police, who say the alleged offences are “historic in nature” and took place between 2006 and 2011.
The force said the allegations “relate to, in the main, one female victim who was aged under 16 at the time”. It added: “One of the allegations also relates to a second victim, which occurred during the same time period.”
Charges include Rape, Trafficking for the Purpose of Sexual Exploitation, Sexual Activity with a Child under 16, Sexual Assault, Voyeurism, Sexual Grooming, Conspiracy to Engage in Sexual Activity with a Child under 16, Causing a Child under 16 to Engage in Sexual Activity Without Consent and Supply of a Controlled Drug of Class B.
All the men have been released on police bail and will appear at Calderdale Magistrates Court on February 12.
