45-minute crime spree sees 19 vehicles damaged on streets of Halifax

Police are hunting the culprits behind a 45-minute crime spree that left 19 vehicles damaged in Halifax.

It is thought that those responsible walked along Pellon Lane, Pellon New Road, Stretchgate Lane, Highroad Well and Rye Lane breaking the windows of the vehicles on Monday between 12.15am and 1am.

West Yorkshire Police found that nothing was stolen from the vehicles but are appealing for witnesses or others affected by such crimes to come forward.

Inspector Colin Skeath, of the Halifax Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:  “We’ve had a large number of reports of criminal damage and I would appeal to anyone else who has been a victim but not yet come forward to report it to us. 

“We are actively investigating this and would appeal for anyone who witnessed anything to come forward.”
