A whole host of new laws are being introduced across the UK this year that are set to affect many Yorkshire residents.

These include the changes to MOT legislation, scrapping of MOT for some cars and even drone law changes.

Many workers across the UK will be entitled to a pay rise in 2018 thanks to a rise in the National Living Wage.

The gender pay gap laws will also be changed with many employers being forced to publish information about differences in pay.

Drone users will also have to take basic online safety tests and register their drones to use them in a bid to make them safer.
