800 homes hit by power cut in Richmondshire
Hundreds of homes are without power after an electrical failure in rural North Yorkshire.
Northern Powergrid said more than 800 homes were being affected by the outage, which was reported just after 5pm in the Leyburn area of Richmondshire. Engineers are working to fixed the electrical supply and have restored power to around 60 homes. It is hoped all power will be restored by 9pm tonight, Northern Powergrid said.
