Actor develops a taste for cheese

Former Coronation Street star Sean Wilson was in Leeds to promote his new food venture.

Sean is now a cheesemaker and was at new Merus Deli in Rawdon with a selection of hand-made cheeses.

He joined the Street in 1985 and played Gail Tilsley's husband Martin Platt. Though still acting, he dedicates a lot of time to the art of cheesemaking. He set up his own Saddleworth Cheese Company which is one of Merus Deli's suppliers. Yesterday he met owner Sonia Hough, who swapped a career as a stockbroker to open the deli just before Christmas.
