Adam leaves Harewood

A MASSIVE sculpture has been moved from Harewood House, near Leeds, to be restored before going on show in London next year.

Harewood's head of collections, Anna Richardson, dusted down Adam, carved by Jacob Epstein in 1938-9, before the move. The 7ft figure weighs about two tonnes and it took two-days, an A-frame, winch, trackway and a large crane to get it on its way.
