Air and land police chase of chemist burglary suspects through Hull ends in triple arrest

A dramatic police chase through Hull involving officers on the roads and in the sky has seen three people arrested.

Humberside Police were called over reports that the trio had allegedly forced entry into the Boots Chemist, in Market Place, Hedon, today just before 1am.

They were later seen driving down a one-way system in the area the wrong way, prompting roads policing, the police helicopter and patrol officers to respond.

Following a 10-minute chase through east Hull and into Cottingham, the men abandoned their getaway car before being hunted down on Tilbury Road.

A 17-year-old Hull male was arrested in connection with burglary, a 26-year-old Hull man was arrested in connection with dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle, fail to stop, two burglaries, driving whilst unfit, no insurance and driving otherwise in accordance. A 35-year-old Hull man was arrested in connection with burglary, fail to stop and dangerous driving.

All three suspects remain in custody.
