Alert over blazein prison cell
A fire broke out in a cell last night at a high-security prison in West Yorkshire that holds some of the country's most notorious criminals.
The fire brigade was called to HMP Wakefield – dubbed “monster mansion” for men typically in security categories A and B – just before 9pm last night.
The jail holds around 740 inmates, including 10 high-risk Category A prisoners.
