All’s fare in record-breaking cab

Paul Archer, from Gloucestershire, Johno Ellison, from Leeds, and Leigh Purnell, from Staffordshire, drive through Covent Garden in London, yesterday as they receive a Guinness World Record for their Get Taxi It’s On The Meter expedition, a 15-month trip around the world in a 20-year-old black cab, which they named Hannah. They raised more than £20,000 for charity, clocking more than 43,000 miles across four continents and 50 different countries and ran-up a cumulative taxi fare of nearly £80,000. They set off last year and also set a record for the world’s highest taxi journey, having reached Mount Everest’s base camp in the cab.
