Anti-social couple ignored banning order

A MAN and a woman banned from a suburb of York due to shocking anti-social behaviour have been sentenced for breaching an order preventing them from entering the area.

Adam Standing and Amy Evans ignored an order preventing them from entering a part of Dringhouses.

York County Court sentenced the pair after Standing admitted breaching the order and was given a 14-day prison sentence suspended for a year.

Evans was handed 28 days in prison after failing to attend court and is now serving her sentence.

Sergeant Ed Noble, of York West Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Evans and Standing made local people’s lives a misery with their horrendous behaviour.

“I would like to assure our communities that we will not tolerate this unacceptable behaviour which impacts on residents’ quality of life.”
