Appeal by blaze-hunt police
POLICE have issued a new appeal to trace a man on the eighth anniversary of a fire which killed eight members of a Huddersfield family.
Shahid Mohammed, who was arrested and released on bail during the murder inquiry after the fire in Osborne Road, Birkby, Huddersfield, in 2002, may now be living in Pakistan but he also has connections with London, Birmingham and Leicester.
West Yorkshire Police have now released a video appeal on the website YouTube. Det Supt Sukhbir Singh said people may have helped Shahid to evade arrest "and I specifically want to appeal to them."
