Appeal delayed for Mondays' star Bez
An appeal by former Happy Mondays star Bez against his conviction for assaulting his ex-girlfriend has been adjourned.
Bez was jailed for four weeks for assault after accusing Monica Ward, the mother of his two-year-old son, of stealing his cash and throttling her at their Manchester flat in May.
He served two weeks in Strangeways Prison before being released. Bez, whose real name is Mark Berry, will now appear before court in October.
