Appeal judges reduce killer’s time in prison
Daniel Duckworth, 36, was made the subject of a 13-year extended sentence at Bradford Crown Court last December after a jury convicted him of the manslaughter of Richard Reynolds in a Sowerby Bridge street.
As part of the sentence, Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC, said Duckworth, of West Street, Sowerby Bridge, would have to serve eight years in jail.

Hide AdAfter a hearing at the Court of Appeal yesterday, three judges reduced the eight years to six.
Mr Reynolds, 42, was drinking with a friend in May 2011 when they talked to Duckworth’s fiancée because she looked upset.
Duckworth stormed over and punched Mr Reynolds in the face breaking his jaw and knocking him unconscious. He died 12 days later.
