POLICE are appealing for a missing man to come forward and seek medical attention after he walked out of a Leeds hospital with a tube in his chest.

The man, who gave his name as James Conteh and claimed to be the son of the former Olympic boxing champion John Conteh, was last seen leaving St James’s Hospital on Tuesday, October 19.

The unknown man left the hospital after telling staff he had been discharged even though he still had a central line tube into his chest.

“This tube needs to be removed by medical staff and it can be highly dangerous to attempt to remove it yourself,” said a police spokesman.

The man was caught on CCTV cameras leaving the hospital at 3.49pm and is described as a white man aged in his early to mid 30s, 5ft 8ins, with short black straight hair and a medium build.

He was wearing a striped pink shirt, black trousers and military style black boots. He was also wearing a dark coloured belt with a distinctive silver buckle.
