A CROWDFUNDING appeal has been launched to help pay for the funeral of Leeds boy who died after falling through the roof of a derelict building.

Leeds West Academy student Myles ‘Mylo’ Johnstone, 14, of Bramley suffered fatal injuries when he fell through the roof of the building on Wyther lane between Kirkstall and Bramley last Thursday night.

The appeal has already raised £2,139 towards a £3.000 target.

Emma Bailey wrote on the Go Fund Me me page: “To help the family we’re opening up a ‘Go Fund Me’ account to help with any funeral costs and make it a little easier for the grieving family in need. All donations will be greatly appreciated.” Linda Emsley wrote on the Go Fund Me appeal page: “My heartfelt condolences to all the people involved in Mylo’s short life, donation seems the least I can do.

“Wish there was something to take the pain of grief away from you all.”
