Apprentice star's husband offers car theft reward

The husband of Apprentice star Karren Brady yesterday offered a "major" reward for information after thieves stole his car from outside the couple's home.

Ex-footballer Paul Peschisolido, who manages League Two side Burton Albion, said the Mercedes E-Class contained a laptop holding information about his work at the club.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the theft in Knowle, near Solihull, West Midlands, after the car was left running to defrost outside the house.

In a statement issued by Burton Albion, Peschisolido said: "I'm absolutely devastated. "As well as losing my car, I've lost my laptop on which I keep everything relating to the football club."

The former Canadian international forward – who played for English sides including Birmingham City, Stoke, West Brom, Fulham, Sheffield United and Derby – saw the thieves get into his car as he came out of his home on Monday morning.

"I thought I might be able to catch them because the fob you need to open the gates wasn't in the car but they smashed through them," he added.

News of the theft came as West Midlands Police urged drivers not to make life easy for villains by leaving cars unattended while defrosting windows.
