Architect's clock tower legacy

Passing through Lindley it's impossible not to miss one of Huddersfield's most distinctive landmarks.

Not only has the Clock Tower meant that, for more than a century, Lindley’s residents have always known the time but it has also provided the village with an architectural masterpiece.

Now there’s a chance to find out more about the man whose unique vision the Clock Tower was, with a series of events in Huddersfield this year designed to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of architect Edgar Wood.

On January 26, Dr Richard Fellows, will give an illustrated talk entitled Edgar Wood in Context at Lindley Methodist Church. It will start at 7.30pm.
