Arrest after youth stabbed in Leeds LATEST

A teenager was taken to hospital after suffering a punctured lung when he was stabbed during an incident in the Moortown area of Leeds last night.

Police were called to Cranmer Bank Shops just before 8pm after receiving a report from paramedics that a man had been stabbed.

The stabbing victim, a 19-year-old local man, was found outside the shops.

Insp David Glover, of West Yorkshire Police, said the teenager was taken to St James’s Hospital where he is in a stable condition and is being treated for a punctured lung.

Insp Glover said one person was arrested nearby in connection with the incident and was tonight being quizzed by detectives.
