Meanwhile a 22-year-old man was cautioned after cannabis was seized from a house in Princes Crescent and a man, 24, was given a cannabis warning after a quantity of the drug was recovered from a property in Markham Road.

Acting Detective Sergeant Darren McConnell, from South Yorkshire Police, said: “This operation was the result of weeks of planning and organisation and a considerable amount of cannabis has now been taken off the streets.

“We know drugs and drug-related criminality have a massive impact on our local communities and we hope the residents of Edlington are reassured by the action we have taken.

“This is not the last operation of this kind by any means and our work to tackle crime in Doncaster will continue.”
