Arrests after violent incident in Selby

Detectives are investigating a violent incident in Selby early this morning which left a man and woman in hospital.

It was reported to North Yorkshire Police at 5.16am yesterday by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

Following enquiries, two men aged in their early-30s and one man aged in his mid-20s have been arrested in connection with the investigation. A 32-year-old man arrested has since been released without charge.

The injured man and woman are receiving treatment at hospital and said to be in a stable condition.

Officers are working to establish the full facts with house-to-house and forensic enquiries on-going in a number of locations in Selby.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said:”Witnesses or anyone with information that could assist officers are to come forward without delay.”
