Arrests toll falls at Leeds Festival

Police say there was a significant reduction in the number of arrests at this year's Leeds Festival.

The event at Bramham Park, near Wetherby, attracted crowds of 70,000 per day and saw arrest figures reduced by 46 per cent – from 39 last year to 21 at this weekend’s event.

Chief Supt Andy Battle, who commanded the policing operation, said: “Everyone enjoyed a fantastic weekend of music.”
