Arsonist hunted after ten cars damaged by fire

Explosions were heard by residents living near the industrial site in Outibridge where the fire broke out as it spread from vehicle to vehicle yesterday.

Three fire crews were called to reports of a fire in the Oughtibridge Lane area of the city in the early hours.

They found four refrigerated lorries belonging to Samples Express alight with the fire quickly spreading to other vehicles parked nearby.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said investigators had concluded the blaze was started deliberately.
