Artist helps children with cancer

TEENAGERS with cancer are set to benefit from a print by artist Tom Harland

Mr Harland, who is staging his annual Christmas exhibition at his gallery in Low Street, North Ferriby, is raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. All the proceeds from the raffle – whose prize is a limited edition print Above the Rooftops - Robin Hood's Bay – are going to the charity.

Mr Harland, who is pictured in front of the largest work in the show, a 6ft by 4ft acryclic of the entrance to Whitby Harbour, entitled The Rough and the Smooth, said: "This is the third time we have been involved in raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. I am very fortunate that none of my children have had problems in that way but I just think it is a very deserving cause." For opening times visit www.tomharland.com.
