Astrocampus offers chance to discover mysteries of space
The University of York’s Astrocampus, created by the Department of Physics, will provide a venue for schoolchildren and space enthusiasts to study and enjoy the universe.
The university has appointed an outreach officer and is able to offer a programme of school activities and public observing evenings, starting with a celebration of National Astronomy Week from March 3 to 6.

Hide AdVisitors will be able to take a guided tour of the night skies using the university’s powerful telescopes in its two purpose-built observatories or observe the sun safely with a solar telescope.
