Attacker repeatedly punched man in face as he walked along snicket in Skipton

A teenager launched an assault on a man after approaching him in a snicket in Skipton.

The suspect, who was described as being around 17 years old, repeatedly punched the 19-year-old victim in the face.

It happened as the man walked along a snicket off Sharpaw Avenue at around 9pm on Monday night.

The suspect then made off in the direction of Great Wood School.

North Yorkshire Police today said the attacker was described as around 5ft 10in and slim.

He was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a grey jumper and a dark coloured body warmer with a hood.

The 19-year-old victim was left with cuts and bruises to his face.
