Attenborough's forest up for grabs

A community has been given the chance to vote on plans to buy a forest owned by film director Richard Attenborough.

The 1,700-acre Rhubodach Forest, which has a price tag of 1.4m, could help create work and widen access to the area if enough people vote yes to its purchase. Voting forms were sent out to around 5,200 people on the Isle of Bute on January 25. So far, more than 2,000 ballot papers have been returned.
