“England was an idealised place; I had heard all the war stories from my grandmother,” she says.

“Now I have a real sense of fitting in to my family’s past.

“I came over on a working holiday but kept making excuses about going back. I wanted to live here. I have been here three years now. I have always followed what seemed to be my past.”

Ms Glover has worked as a school teacher, college headteacher and now describes herself as a freelance personal development trainer and business coach.

She has studied a range of subjects, including reiki, hypnotherapy, stress management and tarot.

After writing her own novel she carried out research into the use of writing as a means of healing and then launched her own Write to Heal courses.

She also runs online courses as well as Game Days for her own board game in the UK, Australia and the USA.
