Awards for bringing killer to justice

Police and support staff who helped catch the killer of Yorkshire barmaid Amy Booth are to receive awards for their work on the case.

Ms Booth, 23, was murdered by ex-boyfriend Suleman Khan, of Dunkirk Terrace, Halifax, in December 2008.

Khan was found guilty of murder and robbery after a trial at Bradford Crown Court and jailed for life.

Chief Superintendent Alan Ford said officers and support staff from Calderdale showed “dedication and professionalism to bring Khan to justice".
