Awestruck bodybuilder Kizzy adds

Barnsley bodybuilder Kizzy Vaines has added Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone to her army of fans.

The glamorous bikini girl has become the first Briton ever to qualify for the sports' world championships with her dance routines and perfect physique.

She celebrated her arrival in the big time by strutting her stuff in front of former Mr Universe Schwarzenegger at a pre-championship show in the United States.

But the super-fit 30-year-old was struck dumb when her all-time hero turned up backstage in Ohio with close friend and Hollywood legend Stallone.

Back home yesterday she burst out laughing and said: "I've waited all my life to meet Arnie because he's always been my biggest hero, but when I finally got the chance I just stood there in my bikini with my mouth wide open and didn't say a thing.

"It's so frustrating. There was Arnold Schwarzenegger right by my side with Sylvester Stallone, and all I could do was shake my head and think 'Wow!'

"I should have had my photo taken with the two of them, had a chat, and got their autographs, but I just froze on the spot, and missed the opportunity of a lifetime.

"I really regret it now – but I won't make the same mistake again if Arnie shows up in for the big event in September."

She hit the professional circuit in America after winning the British girls' fitness title the following year. The Hoyland hairdresser – who stands 5ft 1in and weighs seven and a half stones – was overwhelmed by the opposition when she first arrived in the US. But she has already embarked on an intensive course of training for the world Olympia event in Las Vegas.

She said: "You only get two minutes to impress the judges – and I'm determined to do well as the first Brit ever to have qualified for the competition."

Husband Phil, 37, a former contender for the British body building title in 2003, believes Kizzy has got what it takes to succeed. He said: "Kizzy's really dedicated and leaves nothing to chance. Fitness competitions are a major sport in the USA – and there's sponsorship and modelling deals worth millions of dollars on offer if you can make into the top flight."
