Bacon reproductionon display at gallery
A reproduction of a valuable painting by Francis Bacon has gone on display at Batley Art Gallery in West Yorkshire.
The original Figure Study II was presented to the gallery by the Contemporary Art Society in 1952 but owner Kirklees Council says its galleries need security improvements before it can be displayed again. The original is often loaned out and is often in demand, said a spokesman.
