Beer taster for bank holiday show
The celebration of the region’s country heritage takes place on bank holiday Monday – August 29 – and organisers are hoping to inject some fizz into the proceedings by staging the beer festival two days earlier on the Saturday.
Epworth and District Agricultural Society chairman David Hayes said: “Not everyone realises that the Epworth Beer Festival is actually part of the Epworth Show, so we really wanted to get the message out there this year that if you’re planning on coming to show day on the bank holiday Monday then why not start the celebrations early by checking out the Beer Festival too. There are some fantastic ales to sample, great live entertainment and as it’s held in a tent, it’s one festival the British Summer can’t spoil.”
