Ben Needham website started in bid to solve 20-year mystery

A new website has been launched to try to find Ben Needham, who vanished almost two decades ago.

Ben went missing on the Greek island of Kos when he was only 21 months old.

Computer enthusiast Scott Morrison was so shocked when he read of the case last month that he contacted Ben's mother, Kerry Needham, who is from Sheffield, and volunteered to set up the website.

The 34-year-old said: "I didn't how the family would react at first, with me being a complete stranger living hundreds of miles away, but Kerry was thrilled when I suggested setting up a website in Ben's name. Now we're up and running with people logging on from all over the world every day.

"A lot of years have passed by since Ben was kidnapped, but it's not a hopeless task by any means because the website's there now fielding new leads and pulling information together all the time."

The website – www.helpfindben.co.uk – is available in 19 different languages and features photos of Ben as he would be now, aged 21.

Miss Needham, 38, who remains convinced her son is alive, said: "The website and the Facebook page are already proving very useful as a focal point for information and messages from all over the world. We've never been able to afford to do something like this before."
