Benches installed in country park
Volunteers have helped to install two new benches at a West Yorkshire beauty spot.
The Friends of Newmillerdam Country Park and voluntary group Wakefield Tree Wardens worked alongside staff from Wakefield Council to build and install the benches near Lawns Dike in Newmillerdam Country Park in the district.
Students from The Pennine Community and other volunteers were also involved in the project.
Materials to make the benches, which feature engravings and Braille explaining the historic location of Lawns Dike, were bought with Council help.
