Billie Piper to make National Theatre bow
The former Doctor Who star will appear in The Effect at the theatre on London’s South Bank from November.
Piper, who also appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl, has appeared on stage previously in the West End and at the Almeida Theatre in north London.

Hide AdThe play is described as “a clinical romance” which explores “questions of sanity, neurology and the limits of medicine”.
The cast also includes Tom Goodman-Hill and Anastasia Hille.
Prebble, who worked with Piper on Secret Diary of a Call Girl, enjoyed critical success with Enron about the collapse of the American energy firm.
Prebble’s play, which is a co-production between the National and the Soho-based Headlong theatre company, will run at the South Bank until Saturday, February 23.
