Birds spotted afterfive-year absence
A bird which seemed to have disappeared from land around a Saddleworth reservoir just five years ago has now returned.
This spring and summer, delighted conservationists found two pairs of ring ouzels nesting between Chew Valley and Raven Stone. Sometimes called mountain blackbirds, they are now gorging on berries ready to migrate to North Africa.
