Blaze at Rotherham recycling plant
Five fire engines were called to a blaze at a recycling plant in the Wath upon Dearne area of Rotherham in the early hours this morning.
Fire crews from Dearne, Rotherham and Doncaster stations attended the incident at the recycling plant on Bolton Road just before 2am today (Thurs Aug 4).
A large amount of rubbish for recycling was on fire inside a warehouse building.
Crews used hose reels to extinguish the blaze before leaving the scene at 7am.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation but is believed to have started accidentally.
