Blaze at Sheffield recycling factory
FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze at a large recycling factory in the Darnall area of Sheffield overnight.
They were alerted to the incident at C W Fletchers Recycling on Clement Street just before 9.30pm last night
Fire crews from Parkway, Central, Elm Lane, Rivelin and Birley Station were called to the scene to deal with a large pile of recycling on fire.
Nearby residents were urged to keep doors and windows closed during the incident.
The fire was under control this morning.
An investigation is due to be launched into the cause of the blaze.
