Body of support for cardboard

Cardboard coffins, rock
classics and casually-dressed mourners could become commonplace at funerals in the future, according to research by an insurer.

Environmentalists are taking their policies to the grave with an increased demand for biodegradable coffins and trees instead
of headstones, according to the research by insurers CUNA Mutual.

More people would be happy to give up chemically treated wood coffins in favour of cardboard, the poll showed.

It also found that the majority do not want a conventional funeral with hymns and mourners’ garb.
