'Bomber' Graham aims to be world-beater

Boxing legend Herol "Bomber" Graham is aiming to break the world marathon skipping record to raise money for the Children's Hospital Charity in Sheffield.

At the city's Ponds Forge International Sports Centre yesterday, the Nottingham-born former boxer, 50, announced he will try and break the record on May 8-9. The record, which was set in Australia in 2003, currently stands at 27 hours. During his world record attempt, the former British, European and Commonwealth light-middleweight champion, who last year completed a 24-hour skipping marathon, will be joined by skipping "buddies," including local children.
