Bond cars star in exhibition

THE cars are as iconic as the martini, shaken not stirred, and the bevvy of beauties Bond always has at his side.

Now some of the famous cars featured in James Bond films throughout their 50 years are going on display at the National Motor Museum.

The exhibition, marking both the anniversary of the Beaulieu museum, in Hampshire, and 50 years of Bond, includes the Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger and the BMW 750 from Tomorrow Never Dies. The unmistakable Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me, pictured, will also be on show alongside various other devices used in the 007 movies, including the cello case ski navigated by Timothy Dalton when he played Bond in The Living Daylights.

The public will also see a Bede Acrostar mini jet flown in the 007 film Octopussy.
