Boss on a loser with Lance DVDs

An entrepreneur is looking for suggestions from the public for the best use of 10,000 Lance Armstrong DVDs he bought as a job lot before the cyclist was unveiled as a drugs cheat.

Karl Baxter, director of Dorset-based Wholesale Clearance UK Ltd, said he bought the 2006 DVDs –The Science Of Lance Armstrong –from his supplier last summer, before rumours of the seven-times Tour de France winner’s doping became public knowledge.

Mr Baxter, 36, said he was hoping to sell the discs through his wholesaleclearance.co.uk website for up to £3 each, but is now facing the prospect of having to recycle them. Mr Baxter said the DVDs “will make good tea coasters, wind chimes or bird scarers”.
